The Vedanta Temple historic Hindu temple’s two dozen teardrop shaped roof was refurbished with approximately 5,000 pounds of copper to fix the corroded galvanized steel structure of the original temple. The new adornments approximately are 7 feet tall with 38-inches diameter. The cupola is 12 feet tall with 5 feet diameter. All segments are hand-forged with no stamping or pressing. Besides the beauty of the metal, copper was used for crafting all the roof adornments into different shapes because it is the most malleable and long-lasting material.
