Baker Memorial Library, originally modeled after Philadelphia’s Independent Hall in 1928, required extensive restoration work in 2016 to restore its 185-foot bell tower. Due to the library’s historical significance, every copper profile had to be an exact match, including the weathervane, railings, louvers, and architectural and ornamental details. Additionally, the team installed new batten seam, standing seam and flat lock copper roofing to the bell tower.

All of the architectural copper work was removed from the bell tower and brought back to Mahan’s sheet metal shop where it was replicated. Once completed it was carefully transported back to the site and installed back on the tower.
