Excellence in design and execution helped architect David Jameson, contractor Ally DC, and fabricator Metal Specialties with the creation of 3131 CBR, a bronze clad residential project located in Washington, DC. The team worked on manufacturing many systems at remote locations while also working onsite, “braiding together products of industry and the hand of the artisan” in a way that delivered faster construction while maintaining aesthetics and performance.

The project features a natural and refined material palette that includes stone and wood in addition to the bronze panels that run across the front and rear of the building. The bronze panels form the skin of a rainscreen wall system that works with other components, like continuous insulation that improves energy performance of the entire façade.
